Hello,

As far as I know, I am the only administrator, owner and user of this
'puter. But occasionally I get the msg "you must run this program from an
Administrators account. And recently, when I booted in Safe Mode, I got the
option of two signins: Administrtor and Bob B. (which is me.)
I have setup and sign-in as Bob B. with a password. Control Panel indicates
only one account=Bob B.

Can help? Thank you, Bob B.

You are incorrect about being the only user (account).
You are likely incorrect about being logged in as the only administrative
level account.

Windows XP what? Home Edition? Professional?

When your Pc is first set up there is an Administrator account and a User
account, usually your name.
This user account may have Administrator privileges
You should not run your PC, by default, from the default Administrator
account

If an App states it should be set up from the Administrator account,
provided your username account has Administrator privileges, that's fine.

In Windows XP Home Edition - the 'administrator' (that's the username) is an
account that is hidden and without some hacking - can only be accessed in
'Safe Mode'. This was done 'by design' as Microsoft would put it. It was
meant to help protect the user from themselves.
