I transferred a picture slideshow to a DVD successfully, but when I play them
on the TV, many of the pictures initially come up blurry and then clear up,
particularly when the pictures fade in. Is there anything I can do to make
them appear less blurry or, more specifically, is it a problem with the way I
transferred them on to the DVD or is it something in Windows Movie Maker?

This could be an artefact of what's known as "digital compression", i.e. the
way the movie stored in digial format.
