You must have a Blu-Ray player / burner to play Blue Ray on XP and
install the Blu Ray update for XP to be able to recognize Blu Ray
media.

It's this update you should install:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952011

And for playback, I would recommend trying the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack
5.0.5 with the 5.0.8 update as well.

Let me know how it goes.

Blu-ray player come with software.
Work good on XP.
Sony no let free ware version, but can pay for quasi-legal software that
will strip out copy protection.
Blu-ray player software much cheaper though.

If you install the K-Lite Mega codec pack your *should* be able to
play through WMP11.
