..I have recently needed to format my HDD and reinstall everything in my
laptop. Later bluetooth module had to be replaced. Now it works fine but when
adding bluetooth serial ports they increase their number every time. I
started with COM port 12 and after resetting bluetooth module and
reinstalling drivers several times, now I am at port COM 33 and it does not
allow on the advanced configuration tab to renumber the port (it does display
a drop down list but there is only one port on it), which is not recognized
by Active Sync. It seems that Active Symc only recognizes ports up to COM8.
Laptop: Dell latitude d505 1Gb RAM 60GbHDD Pentium M 1.49 Ghz
Windows XP pro ver 5.1 with SP2
Dell TrueMobile Bluetooth Module USB type
Firmware v. 1266
Maker: Cambridge Silicon Radio
Driver provide Widcomm
ver 3.0.1.804
Activesync ver 3.8
¿Can anybody help me telling me how to renumber my com ports?
