I've installed IOGear's software. I've paired it successfully to my
motorola KRZR. On My BT Places, I have 3 items: Motorola OBEX Push
Transfer, Handsfree Voice Gateway and OBEX File Transfer. Initially I
just wanted to transfer some pics from my pc to my phone. So when I
click on File Transfer I get an error message: FTP service not found
on target device. I've got ZoneAlarm firewall, disabled or not..still
doesn't work. Windows Firewall is off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a Bluetooth dongle installed to allow the transfer from phone to
computer and have you switched on Bluetooth in the phone ?

Do you know which Bluetooth drivers that the IOGear is using?
Microsoft's Bluetooth is very limited to Bluetooth access compared
with the Widcomm (Broadcom) drivers.

Also, most Bluetooth "phones" should come up as device within 'My
Computer." and several manufacturer do "publish" management software.
My Nokia has access to "free" software.

Joan- I have the USB BT adapter- a dongle I take it?- plugged into a
usb port in the back of the pc. The phone reads that it is connected
to the device named for my pc. The BT icon in the task tray is turned
green so I take it to mean it is connected except I can seem to
understand why if I try and open up any services I get an error
message or a connection status as "not connected".

Thanks for helping me with this
Tim

As far as I can tell IOGear's drivers don't mention anything about MS
or Widcomm/Broadcom. To your point about my phone showing up in My
Computer...it doesn't at the moment.

Thanks for helping me with this
