Hi, I have a usb bluetooth dongle (D-link DBT-120) and a bluetooth modem
BT-56R. Currently, I manually pair them using Bluesoleil softeware. Is
there another way to automate the pairing without using Bluesoleil? Such as
window API or winsock. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You need the Bluesoleil to drive the device.

Un-Install BlueSoleil, and plug your dongle into the USB port.
WinXP has built-in Bluetooth support, and will find the new hardware,
and install drivers for it, including the Bluetooth modem.

Good luck,

Thank you for your response. The problem is I don't want to use Blue Soleil
software. I need different method to pair the dongle and the modem. Thanks.

Un-install BlueSoleil!!!!!!!
When it is uninstalled, plug your dongle into the USB port, and WinXP
will discover the new hardware, and do it's thing, installing generic
Bluetooth support.
You won't be using BlueSoleil!

I too ditched BlueSoleil, and WinXP came to my rescue.

Good luck.
