I got a new Dell M60 laptop with Bluetooth built in. I
also got the Bluetooth Office set (keyboard and mouse). I
did not want to install the Bluetooth USB transceiver
because the machine already has Bluetooth support. Seems
reasonable, but:
I never used the CD, because when I tried it, it insisted
that I plug in the USB Bluetooth transceiver that I don't
want to use.
"Find Bluetooth Devices" worked fine and found the mouse
and keyboard, and installed IntelliPoint support without
anything odd. This is using Dell's supplied Bluetooth
driver.
1) Every time I log in I get "New Hardware Found" for the
USB Bluetooth mouse. I just hit cancel because the mouse
works fine. Minor annoyance I'd like to get rid of. (Even
if there is no mouse in range)
2) The function keys (F1 - F12) on the keyboard do not
work. The hot keys (My docs, Mail, Media, Mute, etc...)
DO work. Odd.
Any ideas? I hesitate to use the CD because I know
Windows can get confused about multiple driver installs.
Thanks,
Dave
