Bluetooth Keyboard Won't sync with pc

hi,i have window xp home sp1 and i have bought the
microsoft wireless optical desktop bluetooth. they mouse
works fine with the pc, but the keyboard has just stopped
working, it will jsut not sync with the pc! this is the
second one i have had that it has done this to me. what
do i do? if this is any help the serial number is
6941800243222. help!
