I am looking to connect my Blackberry 8830 World Edition to my laptop via
Bluetooth but there is no icon for Bluetooth Devices in my Contol Panel.

Does your laptop have Bluetooth hardware? In most laptops this is an
optional component.

I believe my laptop is bluetooth equiped, it has a bluetooth light on above
the keyboard which is illuminated next to the WIFI light which is also
illuminated. I think this indicates it has the hardware?

I would think so but referring to your laptop manual would be A Good Thing.
If after that you know you have Bluetooth hardware, install the
drivers/software for it. Get them from the laptop mftr.'s tech support
website for your specific model laptop.
