Hi...
iwas wondering if anyone had a similar problem as me. if
so...anyone know how to fix it?

I've got the bluetooth wireless desktop, keyboard and
mouse. It connects fine, installs fine and works...for a
bit. But then just randomly my mouse seems to get
disconnected and won't be deteced anymore. My keyboard is
still working and i haven't moved the bluetooth reciever o
rmy mouse to anywhere it hasn't been before. I've tried
everything in the support faqs but i still can't get it to
recognise my damn mouse. It only registers 'last seen'as
if it was missing in action or something... I want my
mouse back!!!
Can anyone help?
Much appreciated...

Try removing the mouse from the BlueTooth Wizard. Then put a fresh pair
of batteries in the mouse, then press the connect button on the bottom
and search for it. If it doesn't work today, wait a couple of days
until Windows XP Service Pack 2 is released. This has a new BlueTooth
interface that is fully integrated with Windows and is much easier to
use. If the problems still exist after try both of the above, let us
know

I had a similar problem with the MS Bluetooth desktop in
the past. Microsoft support told me the hardware was
defective and sent me a new set. The problem was reproduced
in 3 different computers with the new set also. I finally
gave up a few months ago and bought one of their other
wireless desktops. I now installed SP2 and, having heard
about the new Bluetooth improvements, decided to try my
Bluetooth desktop set again. Now I cant even install the
software. I uninstalled the previous Intellipoint and
Intellitype and attempted to install the software provided
with the Bluetooth set. I get a message saying that the
previous mouse and keyboard needs to remain connected at
the time of installation. I have never disconnected them
and have even tried using an old type OS/2 type keyboard
and mouse to see if this problem can be solved. The message
keeps coming up every time I try to install the Bluetooth
desktop software. Can you offer any advice on how to
install this software so I can try to use the Bluetooth
desktop again? Thank you in advance for your help.

First, do NOT use the software that came with the mouse. There is a
much newer version that is much much better. You should not even be able
to install the old version from the CD. Windows will block it claiming
it is not compatible. Here is a link to the latest drivers/software:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo.../ITP5_2Eng.exe
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...7/IP5_2Eng.exe

Install those and follow the instructions. I also had problems with my
BlueTooth Desktop a little while after I got it. The keyboard would not
connect to any computer and I even did clean installs with fresh
batteries and everything. They sent me a new one and it has now been a
year and no problems. Haven't had a single problem in SP2 yet
