blue scren memory dump

I am running windows 2000 pro, when I start my pc I get to the secound window
screen and then get a blue screen memory dump and my system reboots, I have
run the emergency repair and now my system gets to the first windows screen
and freezes.
Any suggestions on how to proceed from here.
