Blue screen when trying to do WinXP repair install

I was trying to doa repaiur install of WinXP Home,and keep
running intoa blue screen error (stop error):

BAD_POOL_CALLER

Stop: 0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x02120004,
0x8239E710)

I have spent the last week with Delltech support, and I
have looked everywhere on the MS support site.

Dell says I need to reformat the disk. I have a 120Mb
disk,so that may take a couple of weeks by the time I
reload data, applications,and download all updates off the
internet.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
