(Sorry forgot to add this info in previous post)

I take it you have an ATI Graphics chip

This is the first place you should have a look at

General advice

Please confirm you have typed atiide2k.sys correctly.

Since the error occurs in atiide2k.sys - I'd suspect either your chipset
drivers (if this is an ATI chipset) or your video drivers (if you have an ATI
video card).

Try uninstalling the drivers completely, then installing the latest
certified drivers from the ATI website.

Do you know that atiide2k.sys relates to an ATI product or is it
speculation on your part based on the file name?

The file is "ATI PCI IDE Bus Master Controller" (thanks to Google).

Can't find any reference on the Intel website to a model 101D
motherboard.

That driver referenced in your error message is definitely for an ATI
drive controller, which is not likely to be found on an Intel
motherboard as they make their own drive controllers.

Good luck

Ron

No return in Google Groups but found this which confirms what you say.

I missed this web reference when I checked earlier.
