I got this on my Dell Dimension xp3 desktop.Home Edition.

0x00000024
(0x00190203, 0x86F45A38, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000)

It would not allow me to enter in Safe Mode or last known good configuration.
It must be a coincidence but yesterday we had warning the electric was going
off for a few hours so I switched off the computer,(after shutting down
normally) from the mains until the electric was back on. Straight afterwards
I got the blue screen.

I did try the installation disk so as to do a repair as i did not want to
lose all my data from a reinstallation. Hadn't done this before, ran chkdsk,
which worked but made no difference , still get the same blue screen. I
haven't downloaded any software for some time and no hardware for ages. Any
ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

cheers. I read the article and will give it another go, though I already ran
chkdsk and couldn't see any results that made any sense to me!
