hello to everybody
Recently i've assembled a pc for the first time
i chose some components that were- sort of -known for their quality,
such as the dfiLANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D(witch i flashed with an updated
bios -in order to support the dual core processor) motherboard and an
albatron geforce 6600gt 128 mb graphics card. (other than that there's
an amd athlon 64 x2 #3800+ processor and one module of 1024 mb ram pc
3200 by kingston)
after assembling the parts i went on to install windows home sp2 (32
bit)
--first strike the blue screen of death said everything ha d to stop
Why? because irql_ was _not less_or_equal
--second strike-- again b.s.o.d. because 0x0000007e, .....
after that i used i used another cd of greek-translated windows xp pro
(yes-im from greece) and new drivers for my sata disk from the internet
and finally win were installed! Good times didnt last for long though --
as i continued with the installation of the drivers and stuff i thought
maybe i should reward myself with a small game - doom 3(clean not
copied or anything)
after installing i opened the game - it ran nicely for a while and
then...
--third strike-- sudden reboot...
this continued to happen even with other applications or games i
installed, even when i tried to click on the nvidia icon on the
tray...
so, i'm no sherlock, but i smell touble with the graphics card!... or
the mother board not working well with the graphics card!... or the
dual core cpu with the motherboard and the ram... or the drivers not
working well with xp or...
help!!! whats going on???
