I've built a new computer in January. It works fine until
recently, it crashes, and always restart itself. I've
call people to fix it, they've changed my power supply
and ram. However I've format and reinstall windows and
think it's fine. However, the problem is still occurring.
Then, I format my HDD, and reinstall WinXP pro., it
reinstall successfully, but it cannot recognize my DVD-
Rom. I've 1 DVD-Rom, 1DVD-RW, 1SATA , itd disk. It
recognizes my DVD-Rom as a removable drive and cannot
read any disk. It said there is a I/O problem. I
reinstall the windows, during installation, a blue screen
appear:
Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area..
What does it means?
I cannot reinstall my windows, as the blue screen appears
every time. Plz help!

hi, i have seen this many a time before, and i hate to
break it to you, but this is an obvious RAM error, most
likely caused by a bad module of RAM. run memtest on your
system and let it go, im sure youll see what i mean, if
you can get that far without bluescreening. in both
cases of mine, they were bad sticks (RAM is the crappiest
thing when buying, at least its a bit cheaper now). Hope
this helps

hi, sorry, just so you know, this error happens when
windows attempts to page in and out of a paging area (in
the RAM, not in the virtual memory) that is corrupt, or
simply does not exist. This is why it is a bad stick of
RAM, because the RAM was manufactured with a bad
section. I do find it a bit suspicious that the guy who
fixed your computer changed your hard drive and your
RAM. If this is true, then hes given you another bad
module, and you should have him replace it- FOR FREE. if
he doesnt, report him to the better business bureau.

99.9% of the time this is caused by either faulty or mismatched RAM. Try
downloading the latest version of memtest86 (google for it).
