I just got a new hard drive and installed the XP system. It was running fine,
but it suddenly started to reboot. I can't even log on anyumore because it
reboots while loading to the main page. I tried safe mode but that didn't
work either. Then I treid to use the recovery program on the XP installation
disk, but the computer rebooted while the disk was loading. Then a blue
screen came up and it just continues to stay on. It states:

STOP: 0x00000050 (0xD415CE44, 0x00000000, 0x808294CC, 0x00000000) error

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Can someone help? Please?

Something is wrong with the CD/DVD drive. I would check the cables, and open
the BIOS setup screen to see if the drive is recognized there.

It should clearly state that it sees one of the IDE connections as a CD or
DVD drive. If it only sees your hard drive, you are having some trouble with
that CD drive device. A cable could be loose.

It recognizes my CD drive, but whenever I try to enter safe mode or start the
last good configuration or start normally, the whole thing freezes. What
should I do??
