Try downloading the memory tester from microsoft,usually one downloads
and installs it to a MS-DOS floppy,then boots to a floppy.However i believe
it'll run off a cd also,get it at:

Thiers also a fix for xp,filter drivers,kb914882 Also,open C: open windows,
locate "mini-dump" folder,delete it.
