Are you using Folder Lock
(http://www.download.com/3000-2092_4-10769174.html)? It creates a
35KB windrvNT.sys file. This file is not part of the normal
distribution of Windows (I don't see it on my WinXP hosts). Of
course, malware can use any filename.

This info along with many other articles mentioning windrvNT.sys can
be found in a simple Google search:

http://www.google.com/search?q="windrvNT.sys"

It is difficult to pinpoint without looking at the dump. As a basic test
check the windrvNT.sys for updates. Corel is a user mode app the only reason
a usermode app can be doing this is when it makes a kernel mode call. Since
Corel painter etc are graphics application, this is not uncommon.

Ensure you have all the latest windows updates installed. If you are using
an antivirus like symantec, disable it and check if the issue still happens.

If you dont want to hit in teh dark we will need a dump analaysis to
pinpoint the root cause.

Do the Google search above to see what others have done to get rid of
the problem. You could even narrow it down to looking for articles
that are on Folder Lock and bluescreen.

You already mentioned the obvious cure. Others may have found another
solution. If Folder Lock encrypts the folders then unencrypt them
before uninstalling that product.

There is also a Folder Lock forum over in the WildersSecurity web
site. I think it gets folded into the Privacy Software forum. I
didn't see a link to a forum at the product's web site. If they
cannot endure criticism and posts trying to get help which expose
defects in the product then they cannot endure the heat of a user
community that discusses their product and is probably something you
don't want.
