Blue screen crash data...how do you interpret it?

I copied down the information on the blue screen when the system
crashed. It seems to happen often when I try to click on a YouTube
video.

Hello, I've been having trouble with my system crashing (Windows XP
home edition). This is the data:

Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal

Stop: 0x000000D1 (0X0000075C, 0X00000002, 0X00000001, 0XA9BF9c34)

WPN111.sys - Address A9BF9C34 base at A9BBC000 Date stamp 4537ab28

any idea what this data means?

I know the WPN111 is my wireless USB component attached to the
computer. I saw some things called "registry cleaners" on the
internet. But the computer is brand new, so I'm not sure if that's
the solution. I'll try all sorts of things. Just don't know what to
do!

Hello,

Avoid registry cleaners.

You can try updating the drivers for your wireless USB by getting the latest
drivers from the manufacturer's website. Remember to uninstall the old one
and remove it from Device Manager and restarting before installing the
downloaded one.

Easy Cleaner is really safe to use.

There is no such thing as a safe Registry cleaner. Just because an entry
doesn't point to anything concrete doesn't mean it's safe to delete. BTDT.

I recommend avoiding automated registry cleaners. They rarely help but can
cause more problems by removing the wrong entry. There is one way to use
one, that is let it scan but don't let it make any changes. Look at the
list of items it flags as problems, then research the items to see if one
might be related to the particular problem. Make any changes singly by
manually editing the registry with regedit, but only after making a backup
of the key you intend to change, creating a manual System Restore point, and
preferably make a backup of the complete registry using ERUNT. If something
hoses the registry as a result of the editing the backup copy, and Windows
won't boot to run System Restore, if set up properly, the backup can be
restored from the Recovery Console.

I recommend you first pursue the course of action suggested by
SingaporeWebDesign.

Thanks,

I did an uninstall/reinstall of the USB wireless driver yesterday.
I'll see if that makes a difference. It's the same version 1.1, but
maybe the install off the CD was a corrupted file. So maybe the
downloaded one will be a clean one.

I also checked the computer manufacturer's website, and it looks like
there are a ton of "urgent" updates to the computer I bought. I'm not
sure how many of those apply to my computer, since the updates range
from 1 week to 6 months ago. But I'll call the company today and try
to sort through it.

Thanks for the info on the registry cleaner stuff as playing with
fire. I'll stay far away from that stuff, and then only proceed with
extreme caution only when all other options have been tried.

You're welcome. Good luck and post back with the outcome if you can.
