You're at the right screen. Something tells me your friend doesn't have Service
Pack 2 installed on that computer. Here's what the screen looks like with SP2
installed.

That reduces your options of seeing what's on the blue screen down to using a
digital camera to capture the image.
Moving on, if all the important files on that computer have been backed up, you
might want to try running a repair installation. Take a look here for more info.

If there are any important files on that computer that haven't been backed up,
make that your first priority. There are ways of retrieving files from a
computer that won't boot. It won't be easy, but it can be done. Post back if you
need some guidelines on that issue.
