Hi,

I have an acer tablet pc with windows xp tablet pc edition SP2 installed on
it. Whenever I try to connect to the internet through DSL either in LAN or
USB port, and before being able to successfully connect, the blue screen
appears and my computer restarts. The same happens when I tried connecting
through a dial-up connection. But when I try to connect using the LAN port on
a router, I am able to use the internet.

Also, since my computer restarts immediately after the blue screen appears,
I am not able to see the problem and do not know how to solve this problem.

Can anyone help me on this problem?

I tried turning off the auto-reboot, connected to the internet using dial-up
and the details that the "blue screen" showed is:
STOP 0x0000008E
(0xc0000005, 0x828B802C, 0xEF67644C, 0x00000000)

the blue screen neither showed anything like this
one-DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
nor the hardware that malfunctioned and caused that blue screen to appear.

Can anybody help?
BTW my modem is Agere Systems Ac'97 modem version 2.1.25.0 and i checked the
website of the laptop manufacturer which is acer and the version is still the
same.
