On a Win2k workstation I get the following blue screen
error after I enter the User and Password and hit enter.

ADDRESS BFD0B7C0 based at BFD0400 Date Stamp 3c41b122 -
es.198.xdl.sys
In associattion with this error, when I do get to login, I
notice the WinLogon.exe process runs on for several
minutes (3-5).
I have performed a scan disk and a system file check.
(sfc /scannow)

Richard,

Es198xdl.sys is a driver that is used for your ESS sound card.

To workaround this issue, boot into Safe Mode and rename the driver or
disable the Sound Card in device manager.

To resolve the issue, obtain an updated driver for the sound card.
