Any idea what causes the icon in the icon tray to change
color from red to blue?

Thanks

For instance, after fast switching to and back another
user! I've read this some weeks ago on this site. Ive also
thesame "problem", but it's just a little bug. It happens
on my PC whenever I use Fast user switching WHEN a
scheduled scan is running. Jan van den Eeden - The

Hummm... I'll have to check on this. I bet it is occurring on my system
after I log in via Remote Access. Problem is that in order to return the
icon from blue to it's normal color requires a reboot.

There is more info concerning the blue icon on this user
group, and it ALSO appears when using remote desktop !

This really is a simple matter of appearance. As far as I am aware, it has
no significance--so unless the color of the icon is really important to you,
the reboot may not be needed.

It doesn't indicate anything. It happens when a Terminal Services feature
has been invoked on the machine--either Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance,
or Fast User Switching.

Does it happen after your screensaver kicks in then you log
back in later and find it that way? That's what happens to
mine, but mine turns black. Just reported that as a
bug...but probably it is a "feature request" to have MS
call a repaint function every once in a while to fix the
icon colors.

Alright. Like the flying toast alerts, I'm going to declare the icon colors
as a "feature" We should request enhancement so that it randomly changes
colors and has fade effects, etc.

(black is a bug--happens to me too, blue is because of terminal
services/remote desktop/remote assistance/fast user switching) None of the
color changes has any operational significance.

Blue seems less threatening than red.
