With regards to the graphics card what tyoe will I need. I have a Sony KDL-40W3000 TV whcih supports 1080P it has 2 x HDMI ports

Im not really wanting to buy a PS3 as i wont be using the machine for gaming, but for films and music

Are the PCI-E style graphics cards that state they are output HD be able to allow viewing in 1080p

Regards for any help you can give me.

Mat

I have an Nvidia 8600 gts that sounds like it will do the trick for you. I am running 1080p to an HP set using a DVI-to-HDMI dougle. Working well for me.

I selected the 8600 because the HD PureVideo functionality takes almost all the video processing load off the cpu.
