appreciated. Thanks.

You create a rule to delete the message with that persons nick.

start by selecting the message from the person you hate (I know its me),
and then go to > Message> Create rule from message.

Just click on "Tools" and then select "Message Rules" then "News". From
there, just follow what the wizard asks for and you are set.

hth,

Chris

Will people's posts they made previous to my setting up this message rule
make them disappear now or will only the new posts they make from here on
out will be removed? (Do you understand what I'm trying to say?) Thanks.

Hi Travis,

Click on a message of theirs, click Message/Junk Mail/Add sender to blocked
senders list.

you can apply the rule to all the newsgroup, so it will clean up the
previous messages...

Tools> message rules> apply now

If you're in the newsgroup when you make the rule it will ask if you want to
apply it to the newsgroup now.
If you are not in the newsgroup you can manually apply it to any newsgroup.
Otherwise it will only affect new messages.

This is included in *Win Mail Help* and in *Vista Help* Travis--try them
both a lot more than you have been lately. They are both under used.

You can access vista help by typping helppane.exe in your run box in Vista
and helpcentre.exe in XP.

In addition try the OE MVPs like www.tomsterdam.com that Tom Koch has
updated.

You don't need message rules. All you need is a 3rd grade reading ability,
and just don't open posts by people you're convinced can't post up to the
quality and sophisticated experience level you are accustomed to with the
consummate writing skills and knowledge of Windows, MSFT and the rest of
their softrware.

It's precisely like that remote you sit in front of your TV screeen and use.

Good luck,

CH

Ever used a remote in front of your TV or walked up to a news stand and
decided whether or not to buy a magazine based on the cover?

Ever heard of Help in Win Mail or Help in Vista?

I did try that, but only got parental controls, reading & sending e-mails,
etc. I also got 'blocking an e-mail' but nothing about blocking a post.
