I'm trying to block myspace.com from my daughter. I've tried entering the
entire website in to the restricted zone on IPs several times. It still
allows me in. I must be missing something???

What is the operating system version and are you using a cable/DSL
connection with an internet router and if so which model as some can do
filtering for websites or block outbound IP addresses?? When you add a
website to the restricted Web Content Zone it does not prevent going to the
website but it prevents the website from doing malicious activity on your
computer which is not what you are trying to do. You might try downloading
Cyber Sitter to see if it can do what you want and they have a free ten day
trial period. Of course nothing will work well if your daughter is a local
administrator on your computer or can become one. In XP Home by default you
only need to logon to the administrator account in Safe Mode with a blank
password to have administrator access but you can give that account a hard
to guess password. --- Steve

Just to add to this:

Child Safe Internet:
http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/mi...fwparents.html

See the iProtectYou (free) which has good reviews and there are a few other
offerings there as well.

I will have to check that out. I love the Snapfiles website and the way it
is organized. I try to review their top 100 every other week or so to see
what is hot that I have not tried yet. --- Steve
