Is there a way to block a sender from ALL the newsgroups I subscribe to,
rather than having to block him/her in every newsgroup separately ?

Have a look at Tools / Message Rules / Newsgroups. If this
does not meet your requirements, ask the experts in an OE
newsgroup.

If the sender's address is the same, one block will cover all the
newsgroups.
