I am trying to install XP upgrade on my Windows 98 computer. It says that I
have a blocking issue that I need to uninstall before I can continue. That
issue is SQL Server 7.0. I have tried uninstalling it from my control panel,
but no such program is there. I have also done a seach on the computer and
didn't find anything with that name. Please help! I really need to install
this. Thank you so much

You would probably be better off doing a clean install, assuming (1) you've
backed up all data (2) you have the win 98 cd to point to during the install
process (3) your sys meets winxp requirements.

Ensure which ever backup app you use is compatible with winxp - there can be
problems with any win default backup app
