Can somebody please tell me how to block file transfer in
Messenger 6.1 running on windows xp pro, can this be done
at user level or is it system wide? and if so how can I
achieve this?

Greetings Andy,

As far as I know, you can't block this -- blocking ports won't do it, since MSN Messenger 6.x
has the capability to send files directly through the Messenger server (same as sending
normal text).
