friend .How do I stop the e-mail opening for others to see. so that my
e-mails can only be opened by a password

Give your friend their own user account, ie logon name & password for Vista.
Once they are in your user account they can access your files.

What I mean is this ....When I check into my e-mail it opens automatically
so anybody can read them.How do I stop this happening so that my e-mails can
only be opened by me with my passwoed .

The only way to do this is to disable anyone from logging on to your user
profile. Anyone with access to your user profile can access your emails, so
if you give someone that password, then they will have access. There is no
way to specifically block access only to your mail.
