I have downloaded a 260 meg. zip file which contains an update for one of my
applications. I saved it in its own folder and double clicked on it to
extract it. It told me the file was blocked. I right clicked on the file,
clicked on properties and clicked on 'Unblock'. I then tried to open it
again and still got the blocked message. I went to properties again and
found there was no 'Unblock' box this time. Anyone know how to open this
..zip file? I have Windows XP Professional SP2, up to date. Thank you.

Right Click the file, Properties, Security (TAB) add your username
to the ACL ( Access Control List ) and grant yourself full privileges.

Thank you for the info. I did have full permissions. I checked the website
that I downloaded from and they had a blurb in there about this problem. I
also have WinZip. I used that and everything extracted. Thanks again.
