I just found out my site http://www.arch1design.com
has been blocked in China. It was working 10 days ago but not now.

The site is on go daddy ip. Is it possible to put it on Chinese ip
(Baidu)as well?

So people who cannot log on through go daddy will get it from China IP.

Does this make sense ?

Thanks
Trez

I don't see how you can host the same URL in two different places.

What you need is a good Marketing Manager; You don't need our
assistance. We are techie guys like you trying to make a bob or two!
You could perhaps try another ISP to spam!

Thats what i'm trying to find out. If I can do this.

There are a lot of people on the internet in China it does not seem wise to
miss out on these people if i'm running a website.

But there are lots of people in China who can plagiarize your work, copy your ideas
and your entire website and sell it to fellow Chinese for a fraction of the the
price. It does seem wise not to miss out on this wonderful idea!

So what your saying is you don't Know if it is possible.
Ive emailed go daddy heres what they had to say

Thank you for taking time to contact Online Support. You can always ensure
your site is up by visiting it directly. Unfortunately I am unable to
replicate this issue. When I visit your domain name I am able to successfully
view your website. I have tested this with both Firefox and Internet
Explorer. You may wish to have the individuals located in China contact their
Internet Service Provider (ISP) for additional information on why they cannot
reach your site, as some countries and ISP's actively block connections to
our network. Unfortunately this is not within our control. As we are able to
visit your site without any issues there does not appear to be any errors on
our end. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Id appreciate if you could let me know of any techie guys who might have an
understanding of the problem.

Regards
Trez

You need to understand that China blocks many countries and web sites, with
very sophisticated mechanisms.

Once again, there is *nothing* we can do to help you.

Contact the President of China ;-)

What I am implying is that it doesn't require the brain of Einstein to
know that you need to pay an ISP based in china to host your website.
It is as simple as that. Alternatively, you need to plug in your
website address at every opportunity you get. Start on Yahoo (china)
and the link is here:

http://cn.yahoo.com/

They have a ANSWERS section here: http://ks.cn.yahoo.com and this is
very much similar to :
<http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/dir/;_ylt=AtlhZ5KG9cZiOm78kBrpYLbQMBV.;_ylv=3?link=list&sid=396545662>

Hope this helps you.

what i found out was the virtual server I was on is shared with other sites
and if one of these sites is offensive to China then all of the sites on the
server get blocked.

So I paid a bit extra and got my own dedicated server whereby i'm the sole
website on that server. Now i'm back on in China.

regards trez
