I get the message "Your current security setting do not permit you to
download this file". It is a pdf file, a bulletin from a church. Why is it
being blocked and how do I stop it from occurring. I get no option to
override it.

You, or your administrator if this is a work computer, seem to have blocked
file downloads. Check the security setting discussed here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...tup.mspx#ESEAE
(I know it says for IE6 but that setting is still there).

The easiest way to fix it is to reset the IE security settings to the
default values.
