This morning, I had it. Besides not being able to get updates from MS for
the past month, and despite the fact that it's the fault of SP2 which deletes
the WUPs files from the registry and MS didn't take that into consideration
when it created SP2, and despite the fact that Repairing Windows caused me
the loss of internet access because of SP2, and despite the fact that it's no
longer possible to get to these forums with the provided link in emails from
these forums, and despite the fact that nobody at Microsoft knows the
solutions to these problems, I woke up today to find that the very expensive
Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition that I purchased and installed about
two month ago no longer works toda, and I can no longer get into Add/Remove
Programs!!!

Enough is *BLEEPING* ENOUGH!!!!

These forum are filled with problems that people have with Windows, no
matter which version. Some of them are caused by ignorance, some by accident
and some are thrust upon them by Microsoft without so much as a warning!

I don't blame the people here who help other people resolve their problems .
.. . I put all the blame on Microsoft. It seems that it has gotten too big
for its britches?!? It needs to get on the ball and start fixing the
problems that it creates. Better yet, it ought to fire the the idiots who
pass themselves off as script writers and bring in some people who know what
they're doing! People can't even fix their operating systems any longer . .
.. we have Microsoft to thank for that!

This thread is a STATEMENT, MY personal statement, and it is not open for
discussion or debate. I didn't check the box to "Notify me of replies"
because I don't want to hear what you have to say.

Why are you blaming SP2? Millions have been running it for years, and the
type of problems you are having are not as a s direct result of SP2.

What anti-virus solution are you running? Is is a current version? Is it
properly updated?

What anti-spyware solution are you running. Is it current and do you ensure
that it updates?

Sorry your system has issues.
Sorry you cannot fix them on your own.
It is likely unrelated to anything other than your own stuff and your own
decisions.

As for your comments about Microsoft - seeing your basis - it's probably
better you will not be discussing your side of the comments - because most
of your problems with your system are likely easily fixed and avoided
altogether, and thus, the discussion might show whom was at fault. ;-)

BTW - Microsoft does suck at times. So does Apple. So do all versions of
*nix. Sun... Adobe... AutoDesk... etc. No one is perfect. Your computer
is not a toaster, treating it like one usually only causes problems. ;-)

A lot of people treat their computer like a motorbike; they jump on it, and
try to kick start it.

As most computers are electric-start models, that would look a bit daft

But programmers (esp. Microsoft ones) also treat computers as if they were
'gadget-boy' toys designed mainly for amusement. They can't seem to grasp
the concept that these machines are actually tools that people use to earn a
crust, and that the more risky, insecure 'cool features' there are, the less
well they perform that task.
