>Hello,

I think best you can do is check out the next site :

http://securityresponse.symantec.com...r/venc/data/w3
2.blaster.worm.removal.tool.html

first download the removal tool
then disable the XP system restore

CAUTION: If you are running Windows XP, we strongly
recommend that you do not skip this step. The removal
procedure may be unsuccessful if
!!! Windows XP System Restore is not disabled !!!,
because Windows prevents outside programs from modifying
System Restore.
----------------------------------------------------------

then put your computer in safe mode and restart
safe mode :

To configure the System Configuration Utility to start
the computer in Safe mode:
Close all open programs.
Click Start, and then click Run. The Run dialog box
appears.
As shown in this illustration, type msconfig and then
click OK.

The System Configuration Utility appears (shown in the
following illustration). Check the "/SAFEBOOT" option,
and then click OK.

You then see the prompt to restart the computer. Click
Restart.

The computer restarts in Safe mode. (This can take
several minutes.)

When you finish troubleshooting (in Safe mode)
When you finish troubleshooting (in Safe mode) repeat
these steps, but in step 4, uncheck "/SAFEBOOT," and then
close all programs and restart the computer as you
normally would.

Double-click the FixBlast.exe file to start the removal
tool.
Click Start to begin the process, and then allow the tool
to run.

this should do ...
hope it will work.
Best regards,
Gina.

Hi,
- First U have to DISABLE the System Restore option.
(Right click My Computer and find the Tab is easy)
- Second Download from Symantec the Blaster Fix Tool.
(don't use MacAfee please)
- Third: Install the Patch from Microsoft.
- Fourth: don't open any more attachments ;-)

Good Luck.
