Can anyone help???

I installed Nortons 2006 Internet Security and then had to uninstall it
cause it didn't work. Since then I have put McAfee's on but I keep
getting blank windows coming up in the following programs:

System restore
McAfee Internet Security
Windows search
Progam cd'sm - they bring up the auto run window but I can't see any
menus.

This is driving me crazy, can anyone help please?
