can get to menu safe mode, stuck at mup driver. keyboard / mouse does not
work
have tried a repair but as soon as reboots its a blank screen no hard drive
activity.
have tried drive on another pc still stops at blank screen..
not hard ware fault... have tried fixmbr.

To determine that the HDD drive not at Fault try to download the Diagnostic
Tool from the Manufacturer of your HDD drive and Run it to see if your HDD is
healthy or it is Dead and dusted!.
Again I think your Video Card and Monitor are Okay hence you said you tried
it on/in another machine and stoped on the same Black Screen.
If you can get into Safe Mode try to look in the Event Viewer for any
Clues/Error Messages (X) and post them here in your next post or search the
internet for them.
To access the Event Viewer do the folowing:
Open a Run Command and type:
eventvwr click [OK] and your on.
