When I type in the search box in the explorer task bar, I currently get a
completely blank Windows Desktop Result popup pane. If I use the full blown
Desktop Search window, it works as expected.

It was working great until a couple of days ago. I tried upgrading from
2.0.6[?] to 3.0.1 thinking that might fix the problem, but its still
happening. I miss my live as a I type search results. Any ideas on how I can
get them back!

The only thing I can think is that I uninstalled on older version of
Symantec antivirus, but can't see how that could be related.

Any help gratefully received - has anyone else seen this issue??

Davin.

Maybe this:

Several dialog boxes are blank.

Thanks ELmo.

D'oh, I worked it out...at some point a week or so ago I flicked the switch
to "Search the Web" under Deskbar Options, "Search Desktop".

Can't believe it took me two hours of messing around to figure that out.
Some hints there for the UI designers to take note of: it should be more
obvious what is being searched, and why there are no immediate results!
