Blank reading pane when using Download Headers Only in Outlook 2007

I am using Outlook 2007 with the option 'Download Headers Only' for my email
account. After retrieving the selected messages the reading pane is blank.
When I exit and restart Outlook 2007 I am able to read the messages. This
problem does not occur when I turn off the 'Download Headers Only' option.
Outlook 2003 works without problems. My OS is Vista Business 64. Any
ideas?
