I have 2 computers in class that will not show any of the pictures imported.
It remains a black screen. Students are unable to see what they have put
together for their movie. Is the computer missing a component or is there
something I need to turn on? I have checked every option I can find and I
have gone to the help screen. Nothing is working.

If it needs to download a codec to play it, the computer needs to be
online...

Hello,

Do you get an error message

Have you installed the latest versions of DirectX, Windows Codec Pack,
Windows Media Player and Service Pack 2?

I',m not sure what codec is. I can call our tech support, but they blame it
on XP. the program worked on all of the computers last year. I only have 4
that have this problem. I will ask the tech department about codec as I am
not given access to correct too many problems.

Thanks for your help - Loraine

I will check on this. I only have 4 computers that have this problem, and
they didn't have the problem last year. I will probably need to contact the
tech department and have them look into it. They also say it's becasue I
have XP.

Thanks - Loraine

I have the same problem. I can see the clip in media player and other places
in the system. When I drop it into the timeline and try to see it, no go. I
have all the latest Service Packs, I have the latest version of all the
computer drivers etc... If it was a codec problem, I would not be able to
view the clip in Media Player so 'that ain't it me bucko'
