I solved the crashing problem I was experiencing not too long ago. The link
to the troubleshooting page I used to solve it is here:
http://www.papajohn.org/MM2-Issues-A...nd-Codecs.html
But now I have one more pet peeve to kill... My preview window (although
perfectly capable of viewing each individual clip I add to the
timeline/storyboard) will not play any video when I hit the "Play Timeline /
Play Storyboard" butt ( > ) The music / audio clips inserted play fine and
when I save the movie as a file on my computer the end result is fine, but I
don't get to see what i looks like before this step (which would save me a
lot of time)...
Things I've tried:
Disabling a few codecs known to cause problems.
Reducing (to the point of turning it off) video acceleration.
Installed the newest direct x (it was the same version i had before, no harm
no foul i guess)
Installed the newest nVidia card drivers (ditto for version info)
Rebooted.
No changes...
Anyone have any suggestions?
