Blank lines added to incoming message

Over the past few weeks, whenever I receive a plain text message in Outlook
it has between 100 and 200 blank lines added to the end of the message.

Formatted messages are not affected.

I am not sure if the plain text messages (my preferred format) I create and
send have this same problem. I have asked a couple of reccipients but have
not heard back yet.

Is there a way to stop this happening?
