Are you sure you have a DVD burner?
There are many DVD-ROM/CD-RW drives pre-installed in less expensive systems.
They provide no DVD writing at all, just reading.
Double check your DVD drive, if it says "DVD-ROM" your only recourse is to
buy a DVD burner to burn DVDs, you won't be able to with the one you have.
