Blank Cold Fusion Pages in FP 2003

I've just upgraded to FrontPage 2003. One of the jobs
I've been doing with FP 2002 is to use FrontPage just as
an editor on a Web site that has both HTML and Cold Fusion
(.cfm) pages. I use FTP software to transfer files to the
server. In my new FP 2003, the HTML pages come up ok but
the .cfm pages are blank except for line #s on the left.
Is there anyway I can view & edit the .cfm pages in FP
2003? Or do I have to de-install FP 2003 and install my
old FP 2002?
Thanks,
Clive Soden

You need to set FP to edit CFM Pages, same as you had done under FP2002.

Thomas,
I never set my old FP 2002 for editing CFM pages. It just
displayed them automatically. Could you send me in the
right direction for setting my FP 2003?
Thanks,
Clive

Under FP2002, you either had to configure FP (Tools | Options | Configure
Editors and add the .cfm extension) to open CFM files or you right click
each, then selected FP to open them.

I don't have access to my machine with FP2002 and FP2003 at the moment, but
I do not recall seen a default document extensions of .cfm listed.

Thomas,
Right clicking on the CFM file in Windows Explorer worked
ok. I didn't have any luck going to
Tools>Option>ConfigureEditor. It doesn't seem to take
hold. I'll have to study it a bit more. Thanks for the
help.

Under Configure Editor, be sure to follow one of the current entries or edit
one that you will not be using.

Thomas,
I got it to work by clicking the New Editors button and
selecting FrontPage (open as HTML) with CFM selected.
Thanks,
Clive
