XP's built in burning doesnt support
packet-writing Dennis. And therefore it
cant format CD's either. So, if you need
to format a CD, you'll need to use Nero/INCD
or CD Creator/DirectCD. (BUT not BOTH)
Most people dont format CD's, but sometimes XP
thinks otherwise! I use DirectCD and CD Creator
and Nero here. And have disabled XP's
built-in burning completely.
If you have something like a DVD player
and you want to watch DVD's on ya PC.
Then you need to use something like PowerDVD
or a program that views DVD's. Otherwise, Windows
Media Player, wont play DVD.
Media player is good for some things, not all. XP / Home Pro do have some
good things about them.
But CD burning / DVD viewing isnt one of them!
You still need 3rd party programs to make use
of these 2.Umm turn Autoprotect off as well.
As this will stop programs from working properly.
And will/can make installing programs fail.
