When inserting a blank CD/DVD into either of my RW-Drives the "What do you
want Windows to do?" pop-up menu appears but is blank.

If a written CD/DVD is inserted the menu comes up normally showing the
various options available.

How can I correct this to have the proper menu show for blank CD/DVD?

Tnx, Vern

Click the 'Show files and folders' option in the popup.

If that don't work, open My Computer, right click CDROM drive, click Open to
browse files.

There is no 'Show files and folders' option in the popup. It is the (CD
Drive (X) popup that 'should' show a list of the various options available
depending on the type of disk inserted - play, write, copy with xxx etc.

Also, went to 'my computer' with a disk inserted and selected 'properties'
on the drive. The 'autoplay' options menu for 'blank cd' also shows no
options.

That screen also shows no options. Just blank. Other options, for instance,
'music cd' do show options such as 'play media files', 'copy cd', etc.

That didn't work either. Clicked on the enable recording and the popup now
does not appear. Clicking on properties still shows blank under the 'blank
cd' selection of the dropdown menu of media types.
