I am using Outlook 2000 and have a situation where someone
synchronized Outlook with their BlackBerry handheld and
after that process all appointments were turned into new
meeting requests in Outlook. Is this a setting issue on
the Blackberry or is there a setting in Outlook that needs
to changed? And, how do I change these requests back to
appointments?

Any help offered is appreciated.

I am having a similar problem with Outlook 2002:

erroneously converted to meetings and I cannot seem to
get them to go back to appointments.

The accidental conversion happened when I synched my
calendar with my SONY CLIE. I had wanted the "blank"
meeting attendees field in outlook to transfer to one of
the CLIE fields and blank it out. However, the data
transferred the other way and it put data into the
meeting attendees field (apparently as required
attendees). It seems that once this field was filled in,
the record is now perceived as a meeting.

I can open the meeting and delete the "to" recipient, but
that does not change anything. I do not seem to have any
of the meeting commands available. Under the action
menu, I do not have the Plan a meeting option, the add or
remove attendees option.and I have no idea what else. I
have tried to customize the tool bar, but these commands
are not available to add to the tool bar.


Can anyone help??
