I have had extensive issues with trying to use my Blackberry handheld device
and synchronizing it with Windows Vista Mail.
I have had 3 support telephone calls with Microsoft support at 2 hour each
call.
The outcome of those telephone calls has not been positive. During my last
telephone support session with Microsoft support the technician offered to
call a Blackberry support technician to find current drivers and service pack
builds which would allow the Blackberry device to synchronize with Windows
Vista Mail.
During the conversation with the Blackberry technician he contacted the
Blackberry desktop support section which informed me that any Blackberry
hardware device or software which is currently on the market is not
compatible or supported with Microsoft Windows Vista Mail.
The Blackberry desktop support section stated that only Microsoft Office
Outlook is compatible and supported for the use with any Blackberry handheld
device.
Please note that the Microsoft support technician stated that the only
remedy to this problem is for PC users to purchase Microsoft Office Outlook .
The only helpful suggestion stated by the Microsoft support technician was to
wait until either Research in Motion or Microsoft provide a service pack
where the Blackberry device will work correctly and seamlessly with a
Blackberry handheld deivce.
