Black outlines on images appear when moving cross-platform

Every once in a while, JPEG or PNGs (that aren't transparent) get thin
black outlines on the top and/or leftside when the PPT files they are
in are moved back and forth between a Mac and PC. Usually, a quick
crop will remove the outline.

I haven't been able to find any info about this bug—can anyone shed
any light?
